I made the girls Easter dresses and they turned out great. They finally got to wear them yesterday and they looked darling! (I'm working on making the boys sweater vests and I'm close to being done. As soon as they're finished I'll post pics.)
This cute smile is her "teeze" smile whenever she sees the camera now.

happiness is....
seeing God's creations up close
having a helping hand when you need one & finding a good spot to sit when your tired,
flying a kite
having a jacket when the wind is cold
NOT being stuffed into a backpack
digging, digging and more digging
a rock
wearing whatever you want (even if you want to wear it backwards)
overcoming obstacles
doing whatever Dad is doing
CAMPING!!

what a weekend!
This weekend has been full. General Conference was incredible even though it was hard to focus with 4 children running around. I felt like a lot of it was directed to parents, particularly mothers and I felt an overwhelming desire to be better. Easter was also packed into those two days. Saturday was busy and a lot of fun. We attended the city egg hunt, which is a tradition that we make fun of ourselves for going to each year. Then we went to IFA and let the kids pick out chicks. We've been planning on adding to our small chicken population for awhile now (we love our chickens!) and decided that Easter was a great time to get a few cute balls of fluff. We had a great time (as well as a short break in the winter weather) at Grandpa & Grandma Denie's. Lydia learned very quickly about candy in the eggs. We had our own small egg hunt indoors on Sunday. MOnday Austin & I went to the MUSE concert. We've been looking forward to this for months. Getting there was awful between traffic and weather. We missed silversun pickups. We were both really looking forward to seeing them, just as much as Muse, and were quite disappointed that we missed them completely. But the seats we had were fabulous and Muse put on a fantastic show (I loved the GIANT eyeball balloons filled with confetti that they dumped on the crowd). It was so worth it.
this is what happens to the kids when the fourwheeler sits too long without going for a ride
