fun with flour

the rain can't stop us from digging in the sandbox. we just brought the fun indoors. austin made a bean box for the kids last year and i thought they would have fun digging in flour (and a lot easier on the vacuum than beans). well, it turns out that Lydia is a big fan of the box and had a great time putting her whole self into the play. the other kids really got a laugh out of her, too.

friends

my greatest joy is seeing my children love each other

airport fieldtrip

ian's class went to the spanish fork airport last week. i went with them (one of 16 parents and 32 children; i think next time i'll make sure she NEEDS me to drive) and had a great time with ian. the kids got to sit in a helicopter, a small airplane and a gyroplane. ian loved trying on the headset and taking pics, he took over 50 and it was fun to see things from his point of view. here's just a sample:

catch up

okay, it's been a while and i have to try to catch up on all that's happened. i blame it on the peaches and applesauce that i've been bottling the last week or so. fall is such a great busy time.
well here's our latest:
Wesley & Ian started school a few weeks ago. Wesley is now in kindergarten and has the greatest teacher ever (it's his grandma, my mom). he loves it and has been telling me a lot more about his day when he gets home now. the new schedule has taken some time for him to get used to and we're still working on that. Ian started preschool and LOVES IT!!! every day he is bringing home a project he's made and he's so excited about singing the songs for me and showing me what he's done. he even got mad at me one day for picking him up too early before he felt like he was finished (i try to make sure he's the last one picked up now ;)
fiona is in kindermusic, she's very shy but she's having a great time and even shows people her little fish hands when asked to (that's big for her). Lydia is crawling and getting faster every day. She'll soon be cruising along the furniture, yesterday she realized she can stand up.
On labor day we took a trip up sundance to see cascade springs. it was so fun and the mountains are beautiful. grandpa and grandma denie went with us and we had a lot of fun. ian was hilarious, he got the map and just took off. he wouldn't let us stop or take in the sights much. we have no idea where he was headed off to in such a hurry, and we decided he reminded us all of uncle ben.
