airport fieldtrip

ian's class went to the spanish fork airport last week. i went with them (one of 16 parents and 32 children; i think next time i'll make sure she NEEDS me to drive) and had a great time with ian. the kids got to sit in a helicopter, a small airplane and a gyroplane. ian loved trying on the headset and taking pics, he took over 50 and it was fun to see things from his point of view. here's just a sample:

So the pilot in the airplane with Ian is my gradeschool best friend's older brother. Cool!
Carter was so excited to see the pictures. He's now decided that his reward for using the big boy potty (he picks new ones for himself every day) is to go fly planes with Ian.

what a small world, try saying that two times fast. he was really great with the kids, though a little nervous that they'd push all the buttons but he quickly warmed up to them. meredith's husband was our other tour guide.
